How long does installation take?

A typical home install is one working day. Larger sites (older buildings, lots of cabling, multiple floors) may take two. I'll give you a firmer schedule after the site survey, along with the quote.

Do you offer a warranty?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Manufacturer warranty on Axis hardware (typically 3 years, some models 5). I guarantee my own installation work for 24 months. Optional service contracts available.

Why is Axis more expensive than an ordinary store-bought kit?

Accepted Answer

Cheap store-bought kits often last only three or four years and frequently depend on the maker's cloud and a monthly fee. Axis video surveillance systems are built to last ten years or more, record locally, and stay serviceable. Spread over those years the price is justified, and you're not locked into a single cloud service.

Can you upgrade an existing system?

Yes — it's actually common. Sometimes the existing cabling is reusable, sometimes it has to be redone. The free site survey will tell you which case yours is.

Do you serve outside Tallinn?

I work mainly in Tallinn and Harjumaa county. Other parts of Estonia by arrangement.

Question 6

Is my video data private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Recording is local, on your premises. Not in any cloud, not in my office. Access is yours, and anyone you grant it to. I document the system to meet GDPR requirements.

Question 7

Do the cameras need internet?

Accepted Answer

Not for recording. Recording is local and works without internet — to the cameras themselves on Basic, to an on-site Synology NAS on Premium and Plus. You only need internet to view footage remotely from your phone. The cameras themselves don't depend on an external cloud.

What happens if a camera breaks?

Accepted Answer

During warranty: free replacement. After warranty: cost of the new camera plus a service visit. Service contract clients get a fixed response time.

Can you install night vision or thermal cameras?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Axis range includes IR, illuminated, and thermal models. I can recommend the right option for your needs and the specifics of the site during the survey.
